Biography

Kia ora and 안녕하세요 [annyeong-haseyo], my name is 박지현 Ji Hyun Park (Jinny) and I am an artist, photographer and Tāmaki Makaurau based visual arts educator. 

I work predominately in photography but have experience in graphic design, painting and illustration. I like to document and navigate the world around me visually. 

Of late my work has been focused on my personal journey which explores the Asian diaspora and questioning what it means to be a first-generation immigrant to Aotearoa. 

When I'm not busy in the education field I like to take commissions and enjoy the odd commercial photography jobs - documenting events, portraits and group photos. 

In my down time we are normally out and about all around the north island - you will find us at the beach, mountain biking or enjoying the outdoors!
